I noticed my last post actually got tweeted, which was supposed to be happening for the last few weeks.  What I didn’t know was that Twitter Updated v2.0 doesn’t seem to work with Wordpress 1.7.1; I disabled it and downloaded WP To Twitter which apparently works fine.  In fact I like this addon better since it gives me the option to not tweet a new post, and I can create a custom tweet from the new post page.

Great addon!

The shower that just came across the city was so quiet and a straight downpour, it was like thunder rain without the thunder.  The sun was at the perfect level to create a pinkish sky, which was really cool.  I took a couple pictures but Windows 7 doesn’t have a x64 driver for my TI card reader.  I noticed about 30 other people in other building also standing out on their balconies looking at the rain; It was really something.

Even though the movie Domino is 4 years old, I hadn’t seen it due to it’s terrible reviews.  Unfortunately I seem to be drawn to terrible movies like flies to shit, so it stuck with me that I’d never seen it until just now.

The movie is the mostly fictionalized story of Domino Harvey (Keira Knightly), the child of a movie star who supposedly gave up modeling to become a bounty hunter.  There are some ridiculous things in this movie you could explain away as being mildly possible, considering pretty much every boy tries to learn to use nunchucks and throwing knives at some point it’s not too out there to imagine this woman succeeded in mastering both when she was 12.

Another movie I grabbed while thinking about the Pixar movie Up, I just finished watching Step Up.  Step Up is about an inner city foster kid who hangs out with his friends and boost cars, but what he really likes to do is dance.  Through some convoluted story-telling he is sentenced by a judge to do 200 hours community service at a school for the arts.

This is where the movie basically begins…

I just finished watching Fired Up! which was a lot better than I really expected from a movie about a couple highschool (American) football jocks who go to cheer camp in order to have sex with tons of chicks they’ve never met before.

There is a new Transformers Movie and a Game released to go along with it.  This is not the review of that game, this is the review of the game that came out with the first movie, which I think was last year?

I don’t know, anyway long story short the game blows.  I started as an autobot, which means you play as Bumblebee (fail already).  Literally within 5 seconds of playing the game, all the cars in town got into a huge pile up, and I was no where near them (bad game AI).  I eventually tried out the Decepticon side, you play as Blackhawk, it was a bit better since your basic goal is to shoot and blow stuff up, but ultimately that got old very fast.

I just finished the Prince of Persia game for PS3, it was a fantastic game, right up my alley.

The game is basically a platformer/puzzle solving game, with a little battle thrown in to add some variety, and the free running and platforming play really well and are forgiving enough to not be annoying.  For instance when you run past a ring, you can press O before, during or after it and it will not penalize you, but if you don’t press it at all, you will falll down.

Since I never bought my PS3 at launch, I easily skipped over this launch title which already has a sequel available.  Natalie was nice enough to let me borrow her copy and I beat the game over the last week.  I wasn’t expecting to like it, it’s basically a first person shooter like Gears of War or Halo, but then as I started playing it I remembered that I loved those games.
